After a much cooler night than the night of 22/8, was not expecting much, but pleased to find this male Gem - the only obvious migrant - in my East Oxford trap. Excuse the awful photo - raining hard and very gloomy here still, so had to take this inside.

Sorry Ben, I think you will find that the moth is just a Yellow-shell.

ReplyDeleteExcusable given the awful photo... (I had to take indoors, with one hand and it was a bit lively). I should ideally have included a scale as well, which would have helped, as it is characteristically small (pretty much pug-sized)
