Help request for 2 micros

From the garden trap on Sunday night, I have these 2 tortrix moths that I am having trouble identifying. The first is rather worn and has a fw length of 8mm. I thought possibly Notocelia trimaculana?

The second one, fw length 7mm, has me completely stumped.

  1. I think you are probably correct with the first one Steve (although trimaculana and rosaecolana are not easy to separate when so worn). Nothing comes to mind for the second, though, unless it is perhaps a dark Cnephasia. Do you have any different views of it?

    1. Thanks Dave, I think you could be right about the second moth being a dark Cnephasia. I do have an alternative photo taken of the other side of the moth, but I don't think it sheds any further light on its id. I will hang on to it for closer examination.
