Burial Park Queries

This weeks Burial Park trap yielded 33 moths of 16 species. New for year were Mottled Beauty and Green Oak Tortrix, also this which I have to take to be a July Highflier even if it is a bit early:


also this small wave which I'm not sure about:

    Hi Dave
    Yes to July Highflyer which usually appears later in June. My earliest is the 13th (2011 & 2014) but there is one earlier record for Bucks on 7th June (1996). The other is a Small White Wave.

    Thanks Dave. Small White Wave I've only seen twice before, and not for 5 years. Also it's not with the other Waves in the book!
