First Moth of the Year



At last something has decided to come to the trap and for me it is a bit of a stinker.
Is it a Diurnea fagella?

    Yes indeed, that's the micro Diurnea fagella. It is reasonably common so if you've had one I imagine you'll see it again over the next week or three. These are all males, the female only has rudimentary wings and doesn't fly.
