Flight period is often a useful guide. Vines has 2 broods May-June and Aug-Sept (more or less) and Uncertain has one from about mid June to about mid August (by which time they are mostly pretty battered). Rustic starts a little later than Uncertain. The second brood of Vines is often mistaken for Rustic.
