Flame Shoulder and ID please
Small catch last night - a Poplar Hawk, my first Flame Sholder (I think) and a pretty brown thing that I don't know. Mark Griffiths, Garsington, Oxford
the thing that is pretty brown, as you say, is a Rustic Shoulder-knot. It does cause confusion, but you can just about make out the black line emanating from the base (where the wing is attached)
thanks Peter, I thought it might be that having flipped through one of my books but I didn't think the black line was as evident as the pictures I saw. Nice thing.
