Moth trap results
Last night was relatively mild, so I couldn't resist running the moth trap (in Great Kimble), which produced a grand total of: one Chestnut moth. Still, it's a moth and therefore a pleasure to see! Martin Harvey
Here at Westcott I had the great pleasure of finding three moths! One each of Acleris hastiana, Winter Moth & Mottled Umber. I also ran a single MV for a few hours in Finemere Wood, Bucks which did bring in 60+ moths but from only four species: Winter Moth, Mottled Umber, Satellite & Chestnut. No sign of any new emergers yet, although I see that Nigel (below) has had an Early Moth already.
