Two more micros for ID help
With 48 micros of 17 species on Monday night (several of which were new to me) I had a busy day trying to get them all identified.
The middle picture I thought might be Ephestia unicolorella.
The other one (photos 1 and 3) I am stuck with despite looking through the book several times. I am probably missing something obvious.
Hi Andy, these all require dissection I'm afraid. The top and bottom moths are Cnephasia species. You are probably correct with the middle one but other very similar species need to be ruled out to get an accurate ID.
Thank you once again for your helpful response. At least I was able to add Lozotaenia forsterana and Lozotaeniodes formosana to my list for the year with confidence.
