micro ID
I found this micro Stonepit Quarry in Milton Keynes on Saturday, not been able to find what it is, i took a couple of pics but they aren't great. Any suggestions to an ID would be welcome.
Hi Darren, probably only because I have it on my mind re the comments about Cnephasias earlier, but it does have a hint of Isotrias rectifasciana about it.
Hi Dave, thank you. Thats the closest match I've had so far, I originally thought it was C communana but it didn't look quite right. Going back on Saturday so il find another!
It's not Isotrias rectifasciana. The median band meets the dorsum too close to the tornus. How about Rhobopota stagnana see http://www.lepiforum.de/lepiwiki.pl? The habitat would be right.

ReplyDeleteI agree, Martin, more likely a female R.stagnana. If you follow the link in the comment above you'll see that's what it takes you to a picture of!
