Variety improving in Longwick

I arrived home late last night after a work function to find the moth light accidentally turned on by one of the kids and therefore stuck the trap underneath it at about 11.30 and went straight to bed. I'm glad I did as the variety was a considerable improvement (ignoring the 102 Square Spot Rustic!).

European Corn Borer and Dark Swordgrass were new for the year and Small Ranunculous is in fact a garden first. My first Black Rustic of the autumn was seemingly a little early for here too. A supporting cast of Campion, Scorched carpet, Frosted Orange, oak hook tip, pale mottled willow, purple thorn and gold triangle made for quite an entertaining trap opening in comparison to a few recent occasions!
