Depressaria pulcherrimella?

Wondering if this is Depressaria pulcherrimella. I have it prepped to go to have it's bits checked but it has alot of pink on it.

  1. I'm not entirely sure there, Mark. You could be correct, but in MoGBI the legs on douglasella are described as "fuscous, heavily sprinkled with cream and pink scales at joints", whereas those of pulcherrimella are given as "fuscous, hindleg paler; all joints and tibial spurs creamy buff". The legs on your specimen seem to be a better match for those of douglasella which is really the only confusion species.

  2. Dave, thanks, from that it may be douglasella. Glad I kept it so we can be sure.
