Nice! Depressaria douglasella is a very good garden record. I do wonder about the "very local" status for Cnephasia genitalana given in the Field Guide, though. I've had 24 records of it from 18 sites in various habitats across Bucks, including my garden (all dissected), so I think it more likely that it is simply under-recorded.
Dave, my thoughts exactly re the micros like Cnephasia that need dissection - there probably aren't that many people going to the trouble of dissecting them or getting them dissected.

ReplyDeleteTricky little group those Depressarids - 3 species that look very similar under the microscope, but thankfully the white head narrowed it all down
