Two for ID please

2 basal dots suggest yellow-line quaker
rather than Red?

If this is Phyllonorycter  kuminella
new to me

  1. Hello Alan,

    The top one is Red-line Quaker. You should have no trouble telling those two species apart based on their ground colour (Red-line = grey, Yellow-line = a yellowy-brown). I'm not sure which Phyllonorycter you are hoping for with the second one but in that image I can't see the markings sufficiently well at the outer end of the wing where there may even be some damage.
