Nothing but Orthosias

It became bitterly cold very quickly last night.  I ran only the actinic light in the garden and was actually quite surprised to find 17 moths in the trap this morning (and another five examples of the caddis Stenophylax permistus, this year's count now up to 42).  Needless to say the moths were all hardy Orthosias but they did include the garden's 4th Blossom Underwing of the season.
