The last four nights have been very cold here and there was a frost by dawn on two of them, but I still ran the actinic trap "just in case". Sunday night produced nothing at all (itself an unusual occurrence for May), on Monday night there was just a single Hebrew Character, Tuesday night was sort of OK with 14 moths of 11 species but nothing new for the year, while last night brought in just a single Clouded Drab which is a species I haven't seen here since 23rd April.

A check on the
Yponomeuta larvae feeding away on our spindle found that they'd grown considerably since the last time I looked at them. The largest ones are now in excess of 15mm in length so it will soon be time to take them into custody.
