A couple of tricky ones

A total of 44 Moths and 21 Species here at Tilehurst last night. Also a mass gathering of Grouse Wing Caddisflies.
Treble Lines took 1st place with 15 followed by Heart and Dart with 7.
Help needed with these two please.
I think the Micro is possibly Pseudatemelia Josephine. FW=12mm approx.
This Carpet is rather worn and I cannot seem to find a match.

  1. Hi Tony,

Yes to Pseudatemelia (now called Agnoea) for the micro but I'm not sure if it is josephinae or flavifrontella. The former doesn't usually start flying until towards the end of June so it might actually be flavifrontella. Dissection needed to confirm.

The Carpet is in fact a faded Yellow-barred Brindle.
