Metalampra italica
I tapped this distinctive micro from hazel in Pinsley Wood, West Oxon this evening. The most likely species seems to be Metalampra italica. I assume it's a little more common in the region than the literature suggests, if I've correctly identified it... Comments welcomed.
Thanks Dave. When you say it is quite widespread now, I wonder where you go to find current status for micros? All the various websites I've tried seem to be very out of date.
Hi Nic,
ReplyDeleteCorrectly identified and you assume correctly too - it is quite widespread now. A lovely little moth!
