Monopis hindwing

Following on from my post of January 1st I now have an image on the hindwing of the Monopis.

I don't know whether this is clear enough to help further with its identification or whether it need to be kept for the next batch for Peter to dissect.

  1. Hi Andy,
The hind-wing doesn't look pale grey to me (= crocicapitella) and I in your image it could be described as brownish with a hint of a purplish tinge, which would point towards obviella as you originally suggested. I think I'd still be tempted towards dissection, though!

  2. Very much my thoughts but it is good to have another opinion. I'll keep it for dissection. Thanks.
