Is this Syncopacma larseniella?

There were over 40 species of micros in the garden trap from Friday night. Amongst them was this moth that I haven't seen before. Am I correct in thinking it is Syncopacma larseniella?
I also had this micro, which I feel I should recognise, but I can't put a name to it. Can someone help?

  1. Hi Steve
I thought larseniella was the only one I'd be likely to get in a garden (...and they're Aproaerema rather than Syncopacma now, by the way), that's until last year when I had taeniolella confirmed here by dissection. Worth having it inspected closely to check which it might be (A.cinctella might even be a possibility for you). The other moth is Anarsia innoxiella, a relatively "new" species in that it is only for the past five years that the experts realised we'd been misidentifying it as Anarsia lineatella.

    1. Many thanks for your help Dave. I had two of the Aproaerema, so I will retain them both for checking. Thanks also for sorting out the Anarsia innoxiella for me.

  2. Hi Steve and Dave, I had A. taeniolella in 2017 and, as it had white marks on the upperside AND underside this was confirmed as such by Stephen Palmer via Martin Albertini. My photos are on the moth dissection site and it's worth visiting the Gelechiid Recording Scheme website: https://www.gelechiid.co.uk/species/ant-27
