Are there enough clues to identify this metallic little moth? Using the excellent Berks Micro book I thought perhaps C alcyonipennella on the grounds that it is 6mm, has no significant thickening of the antennae and no black and white stripes on the antennae.

Hi Barnaby, if you wanted to take this further, Chris Lewis has a key on his website (https://britishcoleophora.weebly.com/ametallic.html) to the 'metallic' Coleophoras - but I think that with your one you are still left with three possibilities based on the antennal features you describe.
