Scrobipalpa ocellatella?

I think this is Scrobipalpa ocellatella - I've had it now about 6 times but this is the first time I've been able to get a photo. Can someone confirm from a photo or does it need dissection?

  1. Looking forward to the response Mark since I’ve just pulled 5 of these out of the trap and I’m only 3 egg boxes in!

  3. Russell again, never seen one before but ended up with 15 ‘beet moths’ - that’s some influx!

  4. I’d accept that as ocellatella just from the photo. It is a well-marked species (unlike a lot of other Scrobipalpa spp) and variation seems to be slight. It is also having an exceptional season and really could turn up anywhere in our area.
