Clearwings

In case anyone hasn't heard, Dusky Clearwing has been caught in Cambridgeshire following the record last year from Warwickshire. So those of you who possess the TAB lure I strongly suggest you put it out if you want to see this species as there has to be at least a reasonable probability that it is present in one or more of our counties.

A Currant Clearwing came to my HYL lure this week.

  1. Just to add that Dusky Clearwing has also turned up in Bedfordshire and Suffolk at least. My attempts with the TAB lure, both out and about and in the garden, have come to nought so far both last year and this year!
