Ghost moth from Shetland

 Hi there,

Just out of interest, I'm sending this image - the moth was found indoors in the Shetland Isles. I'm assuming that this is a male Ghost Moth - albeit very heavily marked?

Can anyone confirm the ID, and also comment on whether such heavily marked individuals are more likely to be found in the extreme north - or could be a separate sub-species? It's certainly dramatic!

    Hi David,
    The Field Guide tells us that Ghost Moth sub-species thulensis, with these nice markings on the male, is limited to the Shetland Islands.
