Night with White Satin

Memories of the Moody Blues here in Thrupp, Oxon, with a visit from a White Satin, a handsome male showing off his antennae as described by WT & L. Moths continue pretty abundant with regular newcomers for the year. Last night these included a lovely little Pyrausta purpuralis and the well-named Marbled Beauty below (at least I hope it's an MB and not a Marbled Green sent to trip me up yet again).  Elephant and Poplar Hawks continue unabated and we are rich in Brown-line Bright-eyes and Clays with their slightly evil-looking little eyes. Martin Wainwright
