Miniosa two nights running

I was very pleased to get Blossom Underwing to the garden trap on both of the last two nights.  If it appears here at all, this smart species normally makes only a single visit in any year.

Blossom Underwing, Westcott 8th April

Other garden list newcomers for this year over the past few nights have included Agonopterix arenella & Amblyptilia acanthadactyla (both on the 6th) followed by Caloptilia semifascia, Eudonia angustea & Engrailed (all on the 7th).  That very smelly and often mite-infested sexton beetle Nicrophorus humator has also begun to appear regularly.
