ID help please

Here are the latest few moths from the last 2 weekends which I can't ID and would appreciate some help.

Acleris kochiella?

Cochylis atricapitana?

No idea about this one

Could this be a Seraphim?

And is this a Marbled Minor?

Now another 2 micros that I can't ID:

And lastly is this a Rustic?

Thanks in anticipation.

  1. Hi Jacqui, a number of them are Tawny/Rufous/Marbled Minor which can only be done reliably by dissection and if you wish to record them 'Oligia sp.' is best.

So, taking the photos in order:
    Oligia sp.
    Shuttle-shaped Dart
    Pass, too dark
Oligia sp. (looks the the photo as the first one)
    Common Carpet
    Oligia sp.
Pass, I should know it, but can't do it at the mo.
Looks like a Cnephasia to me, if it is it would require dissection.
    Oligia sp.

  3. Oligia sp. (looks the the photo as the first one).

I meant to say 'looks like the SAME photo as the first one'.

  5. Sorry about the typo, I repeated my first mistake and had to delete!

Do you have a photo of the A. Kochiella?

  6. It is dark but it does look like Cochylis atricapitana. The other micro I think is Syndemis musculana

  7. Nigel, the 2nd picture down is what I thought was the A.Kochiella, so I got that wrong!

    Peter, thanks for your feedback.
