Another micro

Following a very productive trapping session at the Hook Norton Railway Cutting BBOWT reserve we have many micros to sort. However I am stuck on this one that looks as if it should be obvious. 7mm in length. Very active, running more than flying!

  1. Hi Andy,
I'm fairly sure your moth is Eulamprotes atrella. Another which can sometimes look quite similar is Aproaerema anthyllidella so it might be worth getting it checked. Both are reasonably common species in our area.

  2. Many thanks. I see what you mean about the two looking similar so I will get one checked.
We recorded 107 macro species so I'm only getting started on the micros!
