A couple of personal firsts

After 30 years of fairly regular trapping, it's getting harder with every year for me to pick up new larger moth species here in Sonning, so I've had to wait until August to add to my parish list this year. Worth the wait though - a beautiful Mocha in the trap last night. I'm steadily working on the micros and had my first ever specimen of Udea fulvalis in the trap recently.

  1. Very nice to see odd records of Udea fulvalis now from our region (it was once confined to the south coast).
