Hi Alan, I also had my first of the year last night (8th May). The main flight period is indeed from the beginning of May onwards when the initial batch of migrants start turning up, then one or more local broods are raised here through until the autumn. However, the adult moth can actually appear in any month of the year and my earliest for Bucks is 7th January (in 2019) and the latest 31st December (in 2021).
