In MV trap last night. Nearly passed it off as Small Dotted Buff! Per the atlas, there seem to be very few Bucks records, up to 2020 at least. I assume I don't need to retain it, since I think the photo is clear.
Hi Phil, Correct, Dotted Fan-foot, another fairly recent arrival in our area. The first record for VC24 was in 2005 (Slough) and since then it has spread northwards away from the Thames Valley. I had a dozen in the Bucks part of Yardley Chase last year, as far north as you can get without falling into Northants, so it could theoretically be found anywhere in the county now where there's a bit of water. Good to see it hasn't missed out the north-west corner!
