The first one - sorry about the poor picture - I managed to mess up on the camera so the proper shots were totally out of focus.
Re the second one - hoping it's a White-marked.

I think it's a Common Quaker, Mark, and I think you're right, the second one is a White-marked.
ReplyDeleteHello Mark, the first moth is just a Common Quaker, I'm afraid. The second is indeed a smart White-marked, though (very nice to have as a garden record). The markings in your example are quite typical, looking as if they've been applied using a cheap stencilling kit!
