Hello Mark, Neither the ground colour nor the shape look right to me for ferrugana/notana. I think this must be either hastiana or schalleriana, probably the latter based on the size you give, but they can sometimes be very difficult to tell apart when they're quite worn as in this case. A dissection job if you really want to be sure.
thanks Dave. Incidentally I'm getting the old "have log in to comment" on Firefox, I log in, get to the main page and I'm logged out again..it must be a recurring Firefox issue.
