ID please

First moth of the year - I thought it would be a Light Brown Apple Moth but I don't think it is. Perhaps Acleris hastiana? Sorry it's such a bad pic - I may be able to get a better one in the morning.

  1. Hello Mark, from your new image I'd suggest that it is Acleris schalleriana which is often tempted out of hibernation on warmer nights in January. It is often amongst my first garden sightings of the year too.
