I was surprised to find my first Clouded Drab of the season this morning (Stoke Goldington) along with the more usual Dark Chestnut. It beats my previous earliest by about a month!
Give Clouded Drab another ten years and I suspect we'll be seeing them regularly in January. My personal earliest to date is 4th February (Rushbeds Wood, 2016), with the 12th (same year) for the garden, but records during the second half of February now occur quite regularly. Common Quaker turned up here last night but that's one I've already had in January (2016 again) and which can very occasionally turn up even even in December - same is true of Hebrew Character.
Keith - I had one in my MV trap in Wheatley on 12 February !
