Phyllonorycter emberizaepenella



Although it is brown rather than green, I'm pretty sure this is a pupal cocoon of Phyllonorycter emberizaepenella in a mine on a Snowberry leaf. I will see what emerges in due course...

  1. Looks good to me, Phil. The only other possibility on Snowberry is Phyllonorycter trifasciella which also pupates within the mine but doesn't produce a cocoon.
