Hi there,
This turned up the other night. I'm only just getting into micros (not that great on macros either!) but I'm thinking this might be an Acleris - either ferrugana or notana, which I understand are hard to distinguish between.
Am I anywhere near?
Happy Christmas to all (if that's possible this year!)
David
Hi David,
ReplyDeleteYou need to remember to add a title to your posts. It should go above the tool-bar (perhaps a little bit counter-intuitive!), next to where it says "Title".
Yes that is indeed Acleris ferrugana/notana. While it will almost certainly be ferrugana, unfortunately the two species can't be separated without dissection. It is still worth recording as the aggregate though.
Many thanks, Dave - not just for this, but for all your help on the blog this year. Happy Christmas!
