Late conwagana

Last night's three garden micros were Blastobasis lacticolella, Pseudargyrotoza conwagana and Hypsopygia costalis.  The conwagana was rather a late example although I did get another October record in 2017 (on the 23rd) and I see that there have been two or three other Bucks records during October and even one in early November (on the 3rd in 2009).

Pseudargyrotoza conwagana, Westcott 7th October

Although not breaking any records, another species going on rather later than usual here is Hummingbird Hawk-moth which appeared again in the daytime yesterday on the remnants of our buddleia.  So far this month there has only been one day when it hasn't been recorded.
