Beautiful carpet?

 I think Beautiful carpet with dark marking on forewing extending more than usual.

    Hi Alan,
    The uncommon Beautiful Carpet, normally a woodland moth, would be a very nice record for anyone's garden but it doesn't start flying until June (it always helps to read the text in the field guides as well as scanning through the pictures). Your moth is Scorched Carpet.
