Platyedra subcinerea and Notocelia cynosbatella?

A couple of moths from a few days back. Poor pictures as they were gone before I could get the egg boxes out of the trap. I think I have Platyedra subcinerea and Notocelia cynosbatella.

  1. Hello Mark,
Both look good to me and I suspect Platyedra subcinerea will be a good record for Oxon. There have only been a couple of sightings in Bucks but it is well established along the south coast, in the London area and in East Anglia. The wind direction we've had of late (and, it seems, can expect for the foreseeable future) would certainly favour movement further west into our area.
