Maple Prominent, and help needed with a wave

Around 40 different species in my garden trap last night, and two new ones to add to my garden list. The first was a Maple Prominent -

And the second was Choreutis pariana (Apple Leaf Skeletoniser) -

I also had a light brown wave (pictured below) that I am unsure about. The forewing measures 12mm, so it seems too small to be a Riband Wave. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

  1. That still looks like a second-generation Riband Wave to me, Steve. A number of species have been producing rather small individuals this year. Maple Prominent is a very nice moth to get as a garden record.

  2. Many thanks Dave. I thought it looked like a Riband Wave.
