I had a couple of this species to my garden trap here in Aylesbury a few days ago - a garden first for me, but i wonder if they are migrants or is there a local population building in Bucks? Dave Maunder
The moth is well established in Bucks now, Dave (as I think it has been in Berks for a while), and I'm sure you'll be getting more of them. Some sites in the south of the county are producing good numbers and the species seems to be working its way northwards too. I had another in the garden trap two nights ago which takes me up to about five for this year. I suppose there may still be the odd migrant amongst them but I'm sure most of those that we're getting now will be home grown.
