I was alerted to National Moth Night(s) - tonight, tomorrow and Saturday night - by a Tweet featuring a handsome Red Underwing. Nice timing, then, by this one which visited me last night. Not a rare event, I know, but their size and the process of tempting them to show their bloomers (this one was very impatient) is always a pleasure. Martin Wainwright, Thrupp, Oxon.
