Re: Vestals

Further to Darren Seaman's post below, I would have said no reports locally but by co-incidence the chap below was the only thing of interest in last night's garden trap here at Westcott, Bucks.

Vestal, 12th September

As Darren suggests, there was a huge fall of Vestals in East Anglia a couple of weeks ago but in more central counties we haven't, as yet, seen very much of them.  Easterly winds might make a difference and I see that Great Brocade (found in Scotland but those which reach southern England are generally considered to be migrants from northern Europe) is starting to be reported now.

  1. Not quite Upper Thames - but I had a Vestal in my Trap Harrow on Thursday night so they are around
