Spuleria flavicaput?

At first I thought this moth, caught here last night, must be Spuleria flavicaput.  However, it seems too big, with a wingspan of about 20mm (the photo shows the moth on 5mm squared paper), and I can see no evidence of raised scale patches.  Comments/help, please!

  1. Hi Richard, if you still have the moth a side view taken at 45 degrees might help (it is difficult to get a feel for its shape from your photo). It does seem a little bit on the large side for flavicaput and the only other thing which comes to mind is Prays ruficeps.
