I have had a little run on the Obscure wainscot during this past week here in my Aylesbury garden, having trapped 5 over the last four nights - maybe they are having a bumper year after the mild, wet winter? The nearest reeds to my garden are about half a mile away near Fairford leys, so maybe that's where they're breeding. I have also found my first Hornet moth and an excuvia at Black Poplar trees growing on the premises of`Dayla`, Aston clinton on Friday morning, so things are looking up! Dave Maunder
