Hi Alan, I'm afraid that doesn't help in this case. When you are taking photos for which you'll be asking for an ID, what would be very useful is to try and take a bit more time over getting the important bits in focus and I'd suggest using a plain background rather than plonking the moth on a bit of arty bark or whatever, although I know that's what a lot of people like to do! Then cropping, as you've done here, certainly is a help so that we can concentrate on looking at the moth rather than the background.
