A different bug

With a general lack of moths the most interesting insect in my trap this week was this bug. About 11mm in length.


I have no idea where to start on bug identification so any pointers would be welcome.

    Hi Andy, it looks to me like Nabis ferus (Field Damsel Bug) which does over-winter as an adult, although the size you quote seems rather large. Beware, though, that I'm not an expert on bugs so may be wrong!
