Dark Chestnut?

HappyNew Year all.

I found this chestnut on the kitchen door, I'm thinking Dark Chestnut?

I fired up my Actinic to test it - it came on really slowly and I didn't think it was as bright as usual. Is this the result of the cold or is the bulb going?

    Yes, a bit frayed at the edges, but the shape looks good for Dark Chestnut, Mark.

    Unlike MV bulbs which can take a few minutes to reach full brightness, actinics usually fire up almost straight away so I think you might have a problem with the bulb there.

    thanks Dave, I'll see how the actinic bulb goes, it should be ok as it is actually fairly new.
