Vestal

A surprise came when a small creamy-yellow moth flew across the footpath on the W side of Wapsey's Wood WDS near Beaconsfield, landed in bramble scrub and showed itself to be a Vestal. The first I've seen in the UK.

  1. Nice one, Dave. There haven't been too many reports of Vestal yet this year (although I seem to remember that Gordon Redford had one up in Newport Pagnell a few weeks back). Maybe that'll change this weekend when it looks like we'll have some decent weather for migrant moth activity.
