Hello David, That is indeed Buttoned Snout. I've probably mentioned before that it doesn't seem to come all that readily to light traps, so that was a lucky catch for you. I'm sure there'll be hops around your area somewhere! It grows in the wild across England and is often found in gardens too. It certainly springs up in our garden at Westcott each year, presumably having been planted by our predecessors back in the 1990s, and can be a bit of a nuisance if not kept under control.
